Lets talk briefly about this new CPU phenomenon the I7.
To be sure this CPU will change the way many people compute. Intel has introduced new features and made more elegant older solutions to everyday problems. Of course with this new technology will also come the cheap to mid range budget versions. In no way are we saying this is a bad idea, the fact is when Intel makes a high end break through then follows up with a low end form of the technology it can help the market place in several ways. One is that it can make some of the new features available to some degree to a public that could not afford the full I7 LGA 1366 implantation. Specifically we are talking about I5 and the LGA 1156 motherboard.
The purpose of this brief though is to make sure the M-Tech customer knows
that there two variations of the I7 and I7 Motherboard. When you shop[ for your
next high end laptop you need to now this so you do not mistake a low price I7
as being a great deal when in fact it may be the normal price or even too high a
price for that motherboard. A LGA1156 motherboard will be cheap enough that a
less than ethical laptop manufacturer could hide the motherboard type amongst sp
much data that you fail to realize that he great price you just paid for a I7
laptop was in fact too high a price for the low end version of this I7
motherboard. Always know that M-Tech's D9F uses the more capable LGA 1366.
What does LGA mean, Land Grid Array, the number following the LGA tells you
how many pins protrude from the CPU. In the past the reigning hero amongst
motherboards was the LGA 975. So now we see that we have increased greatly the
number of pins coming from the CPU. Why is this so and is it better? The reason
for the increase in the pins is simply because Intel has integrated more
features right on the CPU than in the past. For example the PCI-E use to be on
the motherboard core logic, now it resides on the CPU. In short this increases
functionality greatly. For example in the past when you put a video card on the
motherboard it operated in PCI, which of course was on the main board and
separate from the CPU. Two separate functions having to coordinate and work
together. Now with the PCI being on the CPU makes it so the video communicates
within the CPU making the video much more powerful and its potential is greatly
increased. In other words, when you drop a discrete graphics card onto an LGA
1156 motherboard, it uses the processor’s PCI Express link. Also the
increased pins accommodate the memory controller. Previously the memory
controller was at the end of the front side bus (FSB) So now memory bandwidth is
greatly increased. If you think that a LGA 1156 motherboard
is for you, consider hat some of the reason for only having 1156 ( some say 1157
originally 1160) is because the new cheaper MB only supports dual channel RAM
while LGA 1136 supports triple channel. Triple channel can as much as triple RAM
effectives vs. dual channel which doubles. Lets be clear, when you lose pins you
lose function and in this case also speed. No amount of saving can give you the
same performance as the M-Tech D9F using the LGA 1366.

The purpose of this short note was only to alert the shopper to a new technology from Intel that may be used to mislead the consumer. If you want the fastest potential from your new laptop, if you want the best gaming laptop, the most powerful notebook made today, then you need the D9F. When you buy from M-Tech you know that no shortcuts will ever be taken. When we promise the fastest laptop in the world, we mean it. This also means the D9F will be the best gaming laptop as well. The reason is because the way memory and video is handled. We know that SLI is all the rage right now but when you have a I7 CPU, recall that it works with the video card in a much better fashion than ever before. You can assume that a single video card (Needs to be the new NVIDIA line) works as fast with the I7 as a SLI in a non I7 platform. Assuming of course you have the LGA 1366 and not the LGA 1156. There are no shortcuts to be had if you want to have the most powerful high end laptop on the planet. Find out why Lockheed martin says "M-Tech is the only game in town"
