Create a System Repair Disc for Windows 11
Protect your system. Stay prepared.
A System Repair Disc lets you access recovery tools if Windows ever fails to boot. Here’s how to create one using a DVD burner.
What You’ll Need
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Insert a blank DVD
Place it in your DVD burner tray.
2. Open Control Panel
Press Windows + S, type Control Panel, and press Enter.
3. Go to Backup and Restore
Navigate to:
System and Security → Backup and Restore (Windows 7)
(Note: It still says Windows 7 — this is correct.)
4. Create the Repair Disc
Click Create a system repair disc on the left.
Select your DVD drive and click Create disc.
5. Label and Store Safely
Label the disc (e.g., "Windows 11 Repair Disc – Nov 2025”)
Store it in a safe, accessible location.
Why It Matters
This disc gives you access to recovery tools like System Restore, Command Prompt, and Startup Repair — even if Windows won’t boot.
