Using a real-time test, Windows 7 will rate your computer on these subscores and determine your WEI by the lowest score among the components above. The minimum possible subscore is 1.0 and 7.9 is the current maximum possible score.
The score your computer gets today is the same score it will get forever as long as you don't change any hardware or software in your computer. The maximum score, however, changes to take into account advancing technology such as faster processors, memory, and graphics cards, as such a 7.9 base score can never be achieved. The base score is the lowest of the subscores, not an average or the highest score. It is unclear if WEI will drop a subscore if it would lead to a 7.9 or if the base score would default to 7.8 if all sub scores reached 7.9.
In any event, the scores obtained by M-Tech Laptops are real and highlight the claim to being the fastest computers made.

Comments: This was the 5th computer we purchased for our doctors using DNS. The staff designed it specifically for our use and the ease of ordering was a pleasure. Helpful hints on tweaking the configuration for optimal performance resulted in measurable improvement. Will continue to use M-Tech for future purchases

Comments: Friends, after more than 40 years of buying PCs, you would think I would learn.....and I did. There is simply no better built, better designed, higher quality, better serviced and more realistically priced computer that the legions of MTECHs I have bought over the decades. If this sounds to good to be true, just stop reading. If not, well there is allot to tell. I am a gamer so I have bought their razors edge rigs. I am a traveler, so I have bought their mid tier rough housers. I have never, not... More details

Comments: By far the best aspect of my shopping experience with M-Tech has been the support and recommendations of Jerry. I told him the sort of features I needed and the constraints I had to work around. His recommendations and the M8700 I got were spot on! I won't shop for a laptop anywhere else now.

I am now using it for an electronic medical record as well. The service from M-Tech cannot be beat. I have recommended this computer to other medical professionals.
